Monday morning and you now pick up that blank page of paper you left aside on January 1st… wondering about the one thing you will want to write today. That first thing to focus in your “along the year’s resolutions.”
Does not “along the year’s resolutions” sounds better than just a one time “New Year’s resolutions”? New year’s resolution are like curious things! The curiosity of seeing how we can shape our life along the year. I don’t know about you, but I definitely want to be curious every single day. And now, like you, I have my blank piece of paper in front of me and I know for sure what I want to write there, several times… Gratitude, Gratitude, Gratitude.
Our western society tends to focus on what we do not are or what we do not have. Often we define ourselves by what is missing… What is missing to get the perfect mark? What is missing to make the extra miles? What is missing in the house? What about focusing on what we have, what we are… from there it’s just one tiny step to what we can be and create.
I am thankful for writing these words. I am thankful for everything I have. I am thankful for the choices I can make and the life I can built. I am thankful I have an old smartphone and an old PC. I am happy to have outdated object and enjoying just having them. I am thankful I am. I am thankful I have choices. I am thankful I can stay healthy. I am thankful I eat everyday. I am thankful I have access to clear drinking water. And that glass of water is pure diamond and gold trickling down my throat, like a string of laughter.
